PORTRAIT - The deputy general manager of Monoprix, who arrived in 2009 to democratize fashion and design, has largely fulfilled her mission, notably by increasing collaborations with renowned designers.
"She's the best in the business." That's an unambiguous compliment. Delivered as a heartfelt cry by Philippe Houzé, the president of Galeries Lafayette , who hired Lilian Rosas at Monoprix sixteen years ago. "At the time, I insisted on the role the brand could play in democratizing fashion. She understood everything. She spent her time capturing the spirit of the times and making it accessible to the general public. I have a lot of respect for her because she greatly contributed to evolving Monoprix's image."
Beauty accessible to all has therefore been the guiding principle of Lilian Rosas, deputy general manager of Monoprix textiles, home and leisure since 2009. Thus harking back to the Prisunic years - the brand having merged with Monoprix in 1997 -, her collections created with designers like Terence Conran and the shock slogan of the style director at the time, Denise Fayolle, "Beauty at the price of ugliness".
